Technique Driven St. Croix Legend Tournament Bass Rod

Quick…how many bass fishing techniques can you name in a minute? I’m waiting. It was a long list wasn’t it? Now how many technique specific rods do you own and can you name all the techniques that you use that rod specifically for? Here’s my list: jerkbait, topwater, shake flick, jig-n-worm, drop shot, finesse, shaky head, plastic baits, spinner bait, swim jig finesse, small cranker, Carolina rig, big jig slop-n-frog, swim jig, pitchin’, lite flippin’, big cranker, punch’, swim bait, magnum cranker, flippin’, skippin’, split shot, wacky style, and power spin. That’s one long list, but it covers all the basic techniques that you can use a specific rod to fish with. Did you know for every technique listed above there is a St. Croix Legend Tournament Bass Rod made just for that technique?
These 25 newly redesigned technique-specific rods have been re-engineered for 201 with even lighter SCIV graphite blanks featuring St. Croix’s exclusive ART™, IPC® technology, NSi (Nano Silica) resin, and 3M technology (3M™ Matrix Resin) for improved durability; in addition to having premium components like small-sized Fuji® K Series tangle-free guides and Fuji’s newest reel seats. The two features that define this series of rod are Integrated Poly Curve® (IPC®) and Advanced Reinforcing Technology™ (ART™). IPC was developed exclusively by St. Croix as a tooling technology in rod making. The process eliminates all transitional points in a rod blank. Rods built with this technology have an increased strength and sensitivity. ART is simply an exotic carbon fiber material that adds strength without increasing blank weight or deforming it. Anglers will also appreciate the Fuji K Series Tangle-Free Concept Guides with Alconite® rings. These guides not only stand up to abuse, but are great for keeping braid from tangling around the guides or rod.
Of all the technique rods available in the St. Croix Legend Tournament Bass Rod series (www.stcrioixrods.com) only one has the honor of having a spinning and baitcasting rod model. Fishing a shaky head is the most popular fishing technique ever. Relying on their expert pro staff, St. Croix Rods took input from pro staffer William Davis of Davis Bait Company who invented the famous Shaky Head jig head. Other popular techniques specific rods that anglers will enjoy fishing with are the Slop-n-Frog / Swim Jig rod. Every angler knows that when you fish around aquatic vegetation, you had better have a rod with enough backbone but soft enough tip to cast lightweight hollow belly frogs. St. Croix Rods Slop-n-Frog / Swim Jig rod is 7’4” long with a heavy action blank with a fast tip. It’s rated for 14- to 25-pound test and can handle lures weighing from 3/8- to 1 1/2-ounce.
So how many bass fishing techniques did you name? Maybe the real question is how many of these techniques have you mastered. Learning new bass fishing techniques will take anglers to another level, but you have to have the right equipment to fully master the techniques. There is a St. Croix Legend Tournament Bass Rod for almost every technique bass anglers know. Each one designed just for that technique so anglers not only cast further, but more accurately; however it doesn’t stop there, the St. Croix Legend Tournament Bass Rods are light weight and super sensitive.
