    New One Welcomed on Arrival

    Author: Brad Wiegmann

I guess you can say that we couldn’t be any happier than we are today. After the terrible loss of my best fishing buddy in a fishing accident on July 30, 2011, on Beaver Lake, I have been somewhat in a tail spin even having trouble focusing or having the desire to go fishing some days. I guess everyone deals with loss differently, but life goes on and you have to make the most of everyday no matter what life brings your way. Like Forest Gump would say, “Life’s like a box of chocolates; you never know what you’re gonna get”.  However my box of chocolates came with a knock on the door and wrapped carefully inside a tube. That’s right, I am proud to announce the newest member of our family came into our lives today. Strangely enough it wasn’t a stork that delivered him, but FedEx.

    Quantum Exoskeletal PT Reels

    Author: Brad Wiegmann

Quantum EXO PT baitcasting reelThanks to the frontward thinking of the engineers at Quantum, anglers will be fishing with a completely different reel. The results of this new way of thinking when it comes to fishing reels is a new, innovative construction that combines ultra-rigid aluminum alloy in load bearing areas with lightweight composite which reduces the weight in non-critical locations by 50%. In other words, Quantum engineers eliminated excess material from the reels. The reel looks like it came from the future with its exoskeletal aluminum frame, sidecovers, and other revolutionary materials from Quantum.

Mr. Tommy Biffle Rod grave siteObituary
Mr. Tommy Biffle Rod, a former fishing great who was hailed as a pitching sensation when he joined forces with Brad Wiegmann who is an outdoor writer/photographer and fishing guide on both Beaver Lake and Lake SWEPCO in Arkansas; in addition to being joining together with Mr. Quantum “Smoke” Reel. The combination was unstoppable when it came to catching fish and exceeded all expectations that Brad Wiegmann had about the late Mr. Tommy Biffle Rod.

Quantum Accurist PTi Not Just Another Pretty Spinning Reel

    Author: Brad Wiegmann

Quantum Accurist PTi Spinning ReelSome reels just look good. Like the new Ford Mustang GT with its sleek, tight curves that wrap around the body flowing forward. Not only does it have that great retro shape, but a powerful V8 that generates incredible power and acceleration in seconds. The Quantum Accurist PTi spinning reel is similar to the Ford Mustang GT. Both are built with quality materials and attention to details. For anglers, the Quantum Accurist PTi spinning reel has many of the features that expensive spinning reels boast, but without the price tag; in addition to having that old school look like a traditional spinning reel, but with a simplistic new school high-polished chrome finish.

    Give Me 2 Fishing Rods

    Author: Brad Wiegmann

    Quantum Tour Edition Casting Rod

I was fishing on this pond with you know who. He said, “Hey there fellow; whatcha trying to prove only showing up with 2 fishing rods?” At that point, I was shaking thinking I had made a big mistake only showing up with one spinning rod and a casting rod. I didn’t want to bring too many rods. “I know you don’t owe me, but I wish you’d let me ask one favor from you; won’t you give me 3 casts, give me 3 casts mister, give me 3 casts on the lake minster, give 3 casts on the lake and you will never see me again no more…for sure,” I pleaded. I’m telling you it wasn’t any fun looking eye to eye with him, but he said, “Okay fellow, you got 3 casts and no more.” So, I flipped my first cast into an opening no bigger than a quarter in a field of lily pads, the next cast I pitched it right beside a laying down log, and the last cast I threw the lure a country mile landing alongside a boat dock landing without a splash. I twitch the lure and a fat ole bass ate it. Quickly, I reeled it in, unhooked it, turned around and went screaming joyfully down the boat ramp.

    Fishing Accident on Beaver Lake

    Author: Brad Wiegmann

Sometimes life is not just about fishing. Today while my wife, her best friend, and I were fishing we experienced the life being drained from one of my best friends. Unfortunately there was nothing I could do to save him. I am still very much shook up yet about what happened and right now really don’t care much like ever going out fishing again. My wife said I should email some of my closest friends and let them know what happened in case it would come out on Face Book or in the newspapers.

Affordable and Durable 2 Positive Traits in Quantum Reax PT Reel

    Author: Brad Wiegmann

    Quantum Reax PT Casting Reel

Have mercy…I have just come from the Bass Pro Shop’s reel counter. I don’t think I have ever seen so many reels in one place before. They apparently have an endless supply of quality reels there. Some are out of most anglers’ price range. Others are inexpensive, but lack in quality. A few of the reels had everything I was looking for in a reel like being affordable and durable.

Hands Down Quantum Tour Biffle Rod One of the Best

    Author: Brad Wiegmann

Bassmaster Elite Series Fort Gibson Champion Tommy BiffleHands down is an interesting phrase. Its believed that the origin may have come from boxing where a great boxer may let their guard down meaning putting their hands down as if to indicate they are good enough to win with their hands down. In the realm of bass fishing no one is better at flipping and pitching then Tommy Biffle hands down. His long list of tournament wins speak for itself, but one of the keys to Biffle’s success is the equipment he fishes with. Biffle is particular on his choices of rods and their action. If you ask, Biffle will tell you Quantum Tour Biffle rods are one of the best rods you can buy hands down and are the rods he fishes with.
