Mount Your Sonar GPS Unit with Angler’s Pal Multi-Mount

Sometimes a change will do you good. That especially goes for sonar and GPS units on your boat. How many times have you had to tilt your head just right to see your sonar screen or lift your sunglasses to read your GPS screen? Maybe the sun was making it impossible to read or you just were standing in the wrong spot on your boat to see the screen. That’s when a change would do you good. Angler’s Pal Multi-Mount is a mounting system for sonar or GPS unit that allows the angler to change the angle quickly with a turn of a knob.
Sonar or GPS units are typically mounted at boat’s helm area, bow, or both. In larger boats other marine electronics may also be mounted in this area. While these units normally come with a standard tilt bracket it lacks the ability to adjust to the anglers needs. Often due to placement, it can be hard to see the screen without removing your sunglasses or tilting your head. Obviously that’s not going to be comfortable or it can decrease your range of visibility to see. A mounting system like Angler’s Pal Fish Finder Multi-Mount (www.marinetechproducts.com) is the solution to these problems.
The Angler’s Pal Fish Finder Multi-Mount can be mounted anywhere on your boat. For anglers that usually means one near the steering wheel near the helm and the other at the bow. The steering wheel sonar GPS unit is used for navigation while under power. If the boat has one of the new sonar GPS units that have down imaging or side imaging they are often mounted here since anglers use these to locate cover and structure while trolling around. The bow mounted sonar GPS unit is commonly attached to the boat’s deck and used as the angler fishes standing up or sitting down at the bow.
Before installing the Angler’s Pal Fish Finder Multi-Mount base, an angler should test out locations to find out what is most convenient. You should be able to reach the sonar GPS unit’s button's without having to stretch. Also check for clearance. Sonar GPS units should be free from rubbing or banging against windshields and fiberglass. Mark the holes before screwing the sonar GPS unit base and check to make sure there are no electrical wires in the way. After the sonar GPS unit base is permanently attached to the boat’s helm or deck, the sonar GPS unit can be connected to the top plate. The top plate is predrilled and holes will fit most popular sonar GPS units. Angler’s Pal Fish Finder Multi-Mount comes with stainless steel screws to mount the base to the boat; in addition to stainless steel bolts and lock washers to attach the top plate to the sonar GPS unit bracket.
The Angler’s Pal Fish Finder Multi-Mount is built from stainless steel and aluminum for both fresh and saltwater fishing. It features a unique design which allows the angler to have a 360-degree range of positioning that can be quickly adjusted with its universal ball locking device by loosening and retightening either handle. Angler’s Pal Fish Finder Multi-Mount can be easily taken off by an Allen wrench to remove your sonar GPS unit for storage or security reasons. The mounts are available in three lengths including MT-10 measuring 10-inches overall, MT-14 measuring 14 5/8-inches overall, and MT-17 with an overall length of 17-inches. Other options for mounting your marine electronics is the Angler’s Pal MT8 and the Angler’s Pal MT4. The Angler’s Pal MT4 features a low profile and single adjustment point. Measuring only 2 3/4-inches off the boat’s console or deck allows anglers to mount marine electronics in areas with limited space such as under steep windshields.
One thing an angler will notice about the Angler’s Pal Fish Finder Multi-Mount is its extremely firm grip will hold the sonar GPS unit in place even in choppy water. Other benefits of using the Angler’s Pal Fish Finder Multi-Mount include eliminating pinching or kinking the cables of the sonar GPS unit; pinching or forcibly kinking the cables will cause them to break under stress, the overall length will move the unit closer to the angler making it more comfortable to push the buttons, and a solid base for the sonar GPS unit to be mounted on.

Mounting your sonar GPS unit to your boat with a high quality multi-mount is a wise investment to protecting it from being damaged or damaging your boat; in addition to making it easier for an angler to see by adjusting the mount and that’s when a change will do you good.
