Frabill Releases Innovative Products for Anglers at ICAST

    Frabill Hiber-net
It could be that Frabill has come up with the coolest two products that every angler will want in their boat?  Not surprisingly, one is a net, the other a unique multi-tool.

In the beginning, when anglers were still paddling their fishing boats around Frabill (www.frabill.com) was making landing nets.  The concept was easy, anglers wanted a hoop style and size really did not matter as long as the fish would fit in it.  Today’s anglers landing net requirements include easy storage, easy to use, and versatile.  Welcome to the next generation landing net: it stows like a broom stick, deploys like an umbrella.  Anglers will find the Hiber-Net concept a welcome addition in their boat.    The Hiber-Net works by grabbing the handle, sliding the grip forward, and out shoots a hoop and net, looking into place when landing the fish.  “Hiber-Net is unquestionably the best portable landing net solution we’ve seen,” states Frabill Engineer, Ryan Kleckner. “And in over seventy years in the net business, we’ve seen more than a few.”  The beauty of the Hiber-Net really lies in its simple, foolproof design, Kleckner believes in its simple design, “There are no buttons or confusing buttons to push; all you do is slide the handle upward; you will feel, see, and hear the net lock into place, so there’s no way to overdo it.”  The Hiber-Net retracts instantly, too explained Kleckner, “Just pull the Slide Grip back toward the handle. This unlocks the hoop and draws it back inside the tube.”  It comes equipped with a premium rubberized handle and soft, black poly mesh net. Overall the Hiber-Net when retracted is 52-inches in length, with a triangular-shaped hoop that’s 22- by 22-inches by 24-inches deep.

Frabill LineSaberNext new product from Frabill is the LineSaber.  A light weight, compact, multi-tool with a retractable steel blade scissors combined with a powerful LED light  The LineSaber can be attached to belt, lifejacket, or any ‘O’ or ‘D’ ring. It comes equipped with a foolproof light switch that cannot be accidentally turned on, keeping batteries alive longer and ready to use.  Access to batteries is easy so they can be replaced without a hassle.  The scissors can cut monofilament, fluorocarbon, or braid.  Once done cutting, the blades retract back into the handle out of the way.  No more biting your line to cut it or trying to find a flashlight with batteries that work.
