    Thee Fisherman’s Soap

    Author: Brad Wiegmann

Thee Fisherman's Soap“OMG do you stink! Ever think of taking a shower?” was the first words out of my fishing buddy’s mouth as I jumped out of my truck. “What can I say? It was a long night of catfishing and stink bait doesn’t exactly smell like perfume; then I had to clean them before heading home,” I replied. I guess I should explain that his house is in between the fish cleaning station and the shower at my house, when you catch them good, you just have to stop and brag some before going home.

Boat Paddle Thinks It’s a Landing Net

    Author: Brad Wiegmann

    Frabill Hiber-Net with paddle attachment

I have the only boat paddle around that thinks it’s a landing net. It suffers from paddle landing net dissociative identity disorder. One day the Hiber-Net Paddle is happy and content with paddling around or pushing off while other days it becomes a revolutionary, innovative landing net that can be opened with a simple push of a grip or closed with the net storing inside the handle. Investigations in to the matter including testing and observation have proven that indeed it can be used like a paddle or a net depending on the situation.

TheramaCELL Mosquitoe Repellent Alliance All Purpose Swivel Light

Can it get any better? I mean, I haven’t been bitten by a mosquito since turning on my ThermaCELL Mosquito Repellent Appliance. Well, it does get better with the new accessories for the ThermaCELL Mosquito Repellent Appliance. Now, you don’t even have to hold on to the ThermaCELL Mosquito Repellent Appliance because you can put it in the holster with clip accessory. That’s great, but what if it’s dark outside. No one wants to walk around outside in the dark. Sure the mosquitoes won’t get you, but maybe the crawly things will if you step on them. ThermaCELL has taken care of that too. New for this year, ThermaCELL has an All-Purpose Swivel Light

2 Tools in 1 with Frabill Line Saber

    Author: Brad Wiegmann
Frabill Line SaberI love gadgets and tools. They make my life easier. It’s even better when you can combine two tools into one. It’s Similar to combining chocolate and peanut butter together to get a Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup. Two ingredients or in this case two tools infused together to get the final product.  Every angler needs a line cutter and light. The Line Saber by Frabill happens to be one of those tools no angler should leave home without. They are lightweight and can be put in your pocket, tackle box, glove compartment of the boat or anywhere since they are so compact.

Mount Your Sonar GPS Unit with Angler’s Pal Multi-Mount

    Author: Brad Wiegmann

Angler's Pal Multi-Mount is easy to adjust once mounted on your boat console

Sometimes a change will do you good. That especially goes for sonar and GPS units on your boat. How many times have you had to tilt your head just right to see your sonar screen or lift your sunglasses to read your GPS screen? Maybe the sun was making it impossible to read or you just were standing in the wrong spot on your boat to see the screen. That’s when a change would do you good. Angler’s Pal Multi-Mount is a mounting system for sonar or GPS unit that allows the angler to change the angle quickly with a turn of a knob.

The Ultimate Waterproof Fishing HD Camera by GoPro

    Author: Brad Wiegmann

GoPro HD HERO camera gives anglers the ability to shoot photos under water.

If there is one thing an angler loves to do more than catch a big fish, its watch themselves catch a big fish or show photos and videos of them catching big fish. YouTube alone has thousands of videos of anglers catching fish. Some of these videos are good, but most of them not worth watching. It’s the same for photos. Some of the photos anglers take just don’t turn out or never get taken because of the weather. Most of the time cameras are in the dry storage area so they don’t get wet and who wants to stop fishing to get the camera out to shoot video or photographs. Now before you give up completely on taking videos and photos of your catch try changing cameras. The GoPro HD HERO camera is the world’s best selling camera for sports and can be worn or attached to about anything. If a GoPro HD HERO can take the beating given out every day by motocross or mountain bike riders, skiers, sky divers, surfers, or NASCAR drivers, the GoPro HD HERO will stand up to anything an angler can put it through.

    Abracadabra the Frabill Hiber-Net

    Author: Brad Wiegmann

    Frabill Hiber-Net

The Fishing action was heating up and not cooling down. It’s got me spinning round and round. Where I stop you will never know, but abracadabra…I have a net in my hand. Not any net. A magical retractable net that takes the shape of a travel rod case when not in use then abracadabra…it can be deployed in the same way as opening an umbrella. Not only does the Frabill Hiber-Net take up little space, but can be put anywhere in the boat a fishing rod fits.

    No Skeeters-Mosquitos Around Me

    Author: Brad Wiegmann

    TheramaCELL Mosquito Repellent Appliance

Thinking back to before I started using my ThermaCELL, I spent a lot of time swatting mosquitoes. Mosquitoes like me, but on the other hand mosquitoes love my wife. I swear they sit on the porch railing just waiting for their evening meal…that would be my wife as she goes out on the porch to enjoy the sunset only to be attacked relentlessly by the little dive bombers, each wanting a bite of her.

Shock Guard Keeps You from Shaking All Boat Ride Long

    Author: Brad Wiegmann

Shock Guard Mount Stabilizer mounted on a Angler's Pal Fish Finder Multi-MountIt was a fast riding boat; I mean a real bullet! We were shaking, rattling and rolling down the lake. Anything that was not tied down was bouncing around or just flying out of the boat. I thought that the trolling motor was going to fly off; we were hitting the waves so hard. Nothing was safe; nothing could withstand this abuse could it? Well, my steering wheel was still attached when we stopped and the depth finder was still in place. That was strange since it felt like one of my kidneys had been dislodged from the shaking. Obviously, the new Shock Guard Mount Stabilizer I had just put on my new console mounted sonar GPS unit had work prefect.

A Little Wacky Over the O-Wacky Tool

    Author: Brad Wiegmann

    The O-Wacky Tool

It was just one of those days. I was catching fish like crazy, but they would only bite if I had this one lure and presentation. “One Mississippi, two Mississippi, three Mississippi, four Mississippi,” I would count and before I could count to five Mississippi a bass would bite my wacky worm. The bass were up shallow staging before spawning. It was exciting only having to wait seconds to catch a fish. The key was fishing with super soft stick baits. It seems like the bass could not resist the wacky worm’s enticing swimming movement sinking downwards. My biggest problem was a shortage of soft stick baits. I was running out quickly because even though the bass love them, they would also jump up, shaky their heads and my bait was gone. They were just too soft for a hook to hold them and not come off. After that great day of fishing, I came home and searched for a solution to the problem of losing all my soft stick baits when hooked wacky style. I found it in the Do-it catalog with the O-Wacky Tool.
