Moss Back Fish Rack: An Innovative Fish Attractor for Building Fish Cover
I thought this was a little strange behavior, even for my fishing buddy. I mean, why would he want me to meet him after dark in his garage where he keeps his boat and not bring my fishing gear? After 20 years of fishing together, I have given up on trying to figure him out; so later after it got dark, I was off to see what he was up too.
The garage was completely dark when I got there except for one small light. Sure enough my buddy was waiting for me. “Hey, come over here and listen to this,” he said in a hushed voice. I cautiously moved over towards him. After years of practical jokes, I was not
going to let him play another trick on me. Looking down on his workbench, I saw an old tape recorder. “What’s up with that?” I asked. “Quiet and listen,” he instructed me pushing the play button. “Good evening anglers, your mission should you decide to accept it is to assemble a Moss Back Fish Rack fish attractor on Lake SWEPCO; as always, it’s up to you and your buddy to assemble the fish attractor without getting caught. All the hardware, supplies, and branches are located inside the 5-foot PVC tube. Should you or your fishing buddy get caught or killed, your wives will disown you and your actions. As usual this tape will self-destruct in five seconds after listening to it,” said an official sounding voice.
“Have you gone loco?” I responded after the tape stopped. “No, I am just tired of other guys fishing our brush piles and fish attractors we have been putting out; so, tonight its mission impossible! We are going to sink some fish attractors without anyone seeing us,” he explained. “Fair enough, those guys in the club have been stealing our spots loaded with our fish attractors for years,” I continued, “where is my black camouflage clothing to wear?” “Forget the camouflage clothing and come over here and look at the new fish attractor I bought made by Moss Bass Fish Rack,” he continued, “it comes in a 5-foot or 10-foot PVC pipe; no one will know what we are up too.”
Commercially and homemade PVC pipe fish attractors have been around a long time. They come in all sizes and shapes. Some look like medieval weapons of destruction while others a wacky Junior High science project. Moss Back Fish Rack is a new, innovative fish attractor that comes in a 5-foot PVC custom built main structure tube with 12 flexible snag-free composite branches or a 10-foot PVC custom built main structure with 24 flexible snag-free composite branches. Both come with enough hardware and coated galvanized aircraft cable to secure it in place. “The great thing about the Moss Back Fish Rack fish attractor is you can haul it out to the lake and no one knows what it is, and it can be assembled in less than 10 minutes easily. “There is so many different ways of adjusting the branches according to where you are putting it and for what fish you want to attract. They can be sunk to the bottom of your pond, put in reservoirs, or can be attached hanging down from your dock. The Moss Bass Fish Rack hanging from your boat dock will concentrate fish so you can catch them without leaving your dock,” explained David King, owner of Moss Back Fish Rack (www.mossbackrack.com). Another benefit of the Moss Back Fish Rack is anglers rarely get hung up and lose their expensive lures due to the unique design; in addition, PVC lasts for a long time, has no negative environmental impact, and made in the USA.
Fisheries Biologist agree with King; fish attractors, especially on aging lakes or ponds with little or no cover will concentrate game fish in or next to them. Crappie and bass like to use fish attractors for cover, to spawn next too, or as areas to catch their next meal. It is recommended that the fish attractor be placed with the branches horizontally to attract bass and vertically to attract crappie. While fish attractors are extremely beneficial, anglers should always check with the regulating authorities of the reservoir before putting in any fish attractors.
So, your mission should you choose to accept it…assemble and put Moss Back Fish Rack fish attractors in your local reservoirs and ponds creating your own honey holes. It’s a mission possible for any angler. This article will self-destruct in five seconds: 5, 4, 3, 2 …oh never mind.
