Pro Swimbait Pro Frogger Jr.: It’s getting a Little Froggy

Kick, swim, kick, pause…man, how far do I have to go?  I still have not made it to the other bank yet.  Thank goodness there are some lily pads for me to rest on.  Okay, here I go again, kick, swim, kick, pause …I am all most there.  Just one more time and I will be there.  Kick, pause…hey, what is that dark spot under me?  KABOOM!  Frogs have extremely short lives, especially when swimming across a field of lily pads.  Normally anglers can catch bass with full size frogs in this situation, but certain lakes, rivers, or conditions require anglers to down size their frogs for example cold fronts, ultra clear water clarity, spooky bass, smaller bass, or farm ponds.  Pro Swimbaits’ Pro Frogger Jr. was designed just for these situations.

    School of Pro Frogger Jr.

Pro Frogger Jr. was designed to be fished across the surface, around lily pads, slop, any aquatic vegetation, or fished subsurface around cover; some anglers have even taken them deep under the surface Carolina rigging them.  The Pro Frogger Jr. comes in two models.  The floater sits high on the surface with its hind-end just under surface.  Its eyes stay just about the surface; maybe, scanning for predators?  The sinking model slowly descends downward, legs swimming as it sinks like a live frog when moving.  Every twitch of the rod tip and pause causes the Pro Frogger Jr. to recoil its legs, back and forth in a natural swimming movement.  Both the Pro Frogger Jr. and Pro Frogger have a hollow body which collapse during a strike to increase the hook set ratio and allows anglers to modify by placing rattles or weights in the cavity.  Every Pro Frogger Jr. is treated with natural oils that allow them to slide in and around cover.  It is recommended that anglers use a 3/0 wide gap hook with a hitchhiker on for a hook.Pro Frogger Jr. up a cattail

The Pro Frogger Jr.’s legs and unique color patterns are the key to producing fish.  Each hand poured Pro Frogger Jr. has a unique recoil action that imitates a live frog moving across the surface or swimming below the surface.  These legs are reasonably durable but yet soft enough to entice vicious strikes.  Pro Frogger Jr. color patterns are natural looking, life-like unique hand painted baits; however, anglers can request custom color patterns with large enough orders. Belly up Pro Frogger Jr.

Timing is everything, knowing when and what size frog to fish will increase the number of bass you will catch.  Hot summer months are best, followed by early fall before the aquatic vegetation begins to die off.  The insect population is also at its peak and frogs are feeding profusely on mass groups of mayflies, dragon flies and other insects.   The Pro Frogger Jr. was design to get plenty of strikes and catch loads of fish, no matter if they are small, medium, large, or even extra large.  From the weekend warrior, to the tournament angler who needs one more keeper to finish off their limit, the Pro Frogger Jr. is perfect.

Frog fishing is flat out fun.  The strikes are vicious.  It requires big, stout rods and braid fishing line, no sissy sticks.  Just cast out your frog and work it back.  Kick, swim…kick, pause…KABOOM!Group of Pro Frogger Jr.
