    Author: Brad Wiegmann

    Creme Lures Mad Dad minnow

Crème Mad Dad minnow is leading a double life. On one hand, the Mad Dad has the soft feel of a plastic lure; on the other hand it has the hard bait action of a lipless crankbait. A combination that reeks havoc on fish because of its wild vibrating action when retrieved. Similar to lipless crankbaits, the Mad Dad minnow can be fished at any depth and with a change of retrieve a number of different ways.

Bass Catching Morphing YUM F2 Mighty Bug

    Author: Brad Wiegmann

    YUM F2 Mighty Bug

In the beginning of bass fishing times, anglers had hundreds of plastic worms to pick from. Every company was pouring them. Some were “jelly”; another was the original plastic worm while others had more garlic on them than bread served with spaghetti. From worms anglers moved on to soft plastic realistic crawfish shaped baits. They were hot and caught tons of bass, but after while bass started figuring out that those salt impregnated soft plastic crawfish had hooks in them. It was around that time the revolutionary traditional creature bait was created. Creature baits were big enough to catch monster bass, but could be made in a downsized version for when fishing conditions turned awful. Most of the creature baits lack originality; they are just copies of the first one. Now there are creature baits and then there’s the bass catching morphing YUM F2 Mighty Bug. The new YUM F2 Mighty Bug has appendages and a multi-segmented body that attracts bass; in addition to having F2 fish attractant infused within the body.

Wacky Worm Technique Not so Crazy for Catching Bass

    Author: Brad Wiegmann

Wacky Worm RigBass anglers are all crazy. A group of lunatics that sneak out  under the cover of darkness in search of something that swims under the surface then going IKE for the TV cameras when catching one; no matter how big it is. They are a passionate fringe that travels in groups, but stalking their quarry individually with a silent stealth that sends shivers down my back. Obsessed with catching more than the other passionate bassaholics they venture into the dark side using techniques that are off the wall; normally people would say wacky.

Bombshell Turtle Bodacious for Bass Fishing

    Author: Brad Wiegmann

Bombshell Turtle Lures“Wow! Cowabunga, Dude! Reel him in. That’s one bogus fish dude. Would have been a real bummer Dude if you lost that one,” said my fishing buddy. I reach down and grab the “bogus” fish taking the hook out. My soft plastic lure was swallowed deep into its throat. “I guess that fish wasn’t getting off, Turtle Power!” I reply. In unison we cry out, “Cowabunga Dude!” I felt like we had transformed back to the days when the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles ruled the air waves, but in reality it was really the Bombshell Turtle lure that was making all the calls. The Bombshell Turtle lure resembles a turtle and bass simply cannot resist biting it.

Crème Lit’l Fishie Shad with New Change-Up Rig

    Author: Brad Wiegmann

Creme Lit'l Fishes Shad with the new Change-Up rigIt’s not just another swimbait. Sure it looks, swims, and acts like a swimbait, but it’s different. The difference is the Creme Lit’l Fishie Shad and Lit’l Fishie Perch with its innovative tail design makes the tail move back and forth like a real fish. The slim body reproduces a lifelike effect compared to most soft swimbaits that have a rounded body; in addition to being rigged with a Change-Up to keep its natural swimming action without restricting its movements. The Crème Lit’l Fishie Shad and Lit’l Fishie Perch are quickly becoming a favorite among anglers new or experienced with soft swimbaits because of its action and affordable price.

Pitching and Flipping the YUM F2 Wooly Bug

    Author: Brad Wiegmann

YUM F2 Wooly Bug I love to pitch and flip Texas rigged soft plastics. Nothing can compare to pitching and flipping in and around thick cover in anticipation of that thump. It’s challenging to make a lure fit into a tight space and big oversized soft plastics are not appropriate. No, an angler really needs a small, compact soft plastic lure. The YUM F2 Wooly Bug fits in that category. A compact lure that can fit into tight spaces yet catch big bass.

Is it a Sinking Worm, a Swimbait, Shaky Worm or Do-nothing Worm?

    Author: Brad Wiegmann

Gene Larew Salt Flick'R No, it’s not Super Worm! It’s Gene Larew’s new 6-inch Salt Flick’R. It can’t be easy being a Salt Flick’R. Not quite a traditional sinking worm, swimbait, shaky worm or do-nothing worm. Though once taken out of the inside an angler’s tackle box can turn in to a sinking worm, swimbait, shaky worm or do-nothing worm by removing its appendages. Just like Superman can turn into a number of different super lures with a change of appearance.

YUM F2 Wooly Bullee Drives Bass Flipping Crazy

    Author: Brad Wiegmann

    YUM F2 Wooly Bullee

When fishing gets tough, the tough get out their flipping and pitching rods with heavy fluorocarbon line and find the thickest, nastiest cover to catch bass.  Lures that these flippers use are compact and have a natural appearance.  Since its thick cover these anglers are fishing, lures with little or no appendages are preferred.  Long ribbon tails or meaty lures tend to get hung up in the thick cover; in addition to refusing to punch through matted grass.  Popular baits anglers like to flip are crawfish shaped lures.  The F2 Wooly Bullee by YUM has the crawfish shaped, but it’s the unique pinchers that drive bass flipping crazy.  The pinchers shape and thickness result in giving the YUM F2 Wooly Bullee a swimming action not found in other soft plastic crawfish shaped lures.
