Jigs / Spinnerbaits
Flexible Steel Lures by Ty Gy’s Lures
Can you jig, jerk, rip, and burn any one lure in your tackle box? I have a whole tackle box full of jerkbaits for jerking, jigs for hopping or crawling across the bottom, spinnerbaits for ripping, and buzzbaits for burning across the surface. Amazingly that’s what you can do with these hand tied Ty Gy’s flexible steel lures built by Ty Steinebach. It’s his all-in-one lure that catches bass, northern pike, salmon, muskies, and other game fish.
Steinebach noted that Ty Gy’s Lures could be casted or trolled with to catch fish. “There are several ways to fish a Ty Gy’s Lure, but it’s not limited to what I say; an angler can just use their imagination and come up with new ways to catch fish on the lure,” said Steinebach.
Steinebach recommended the following presentations when fishing with Ty Gy’s lures:
Casting:
• In shallow water give the lure a jerking movement while reeling it in.
• Early in the morning with a Double Betty Toothy Critter, burn it just under the water making it boil the surface.
• Reel in, pause, and allow it to drop, reel, and pause, allow it to drop over and over back to the boat.
• Around aquatic vegetation cast out allow the tail to smack the surface and reel back bouncing it across the surface.
• Reel it back across the surface quickly making the spinners buzz the surface.
Trolling:
• Ty Gy’s Lures can be trolled on free lines or on downriggers.
Catching fish and going fishing with Ty Gy’s Lures can be a rewarding experience when you catch them, but Steinebach sees more than just a fishing lure when he makes one. “Every percentage of percentage of profit goes to “Catch a Smile Foundation”. The Catch a Smile Foundation goes to covering children’s dental coverage in Montana to individuals who are not fortunate enough to have dental coverage. Besides the lures, we also sell shirts and ear rings,” explained Steinebach.
Not only will buying and catching fish on Ty Gy’s Lures put a smile on an angler’s face, but also on a child’s face. That’s what fishing is all about and how anglers make a difference in the lives of our youth.
