Once again it’s time for ICAST 2010.  When all the fishing tackle companies come together to exhibit their latest and greatest lures available to anglers.  Before ICAST 2010 in Las Vegas, these companies spent the past year developing new products to be release at the show.  I was lucky enough to get a sneak peak at some of them.  Some are hard plastic lures while others are soft plastic infused with the ultimate fish attracting formula.  Here is a quick preview of some.

YUM F2- YUM is introducing their new line of soft plastic baits call YUM F2.  The F2 stands for Attract, Enrage, Engage, or Ferocity Squared.  It is a highly concentrated formula clinically tested by Mississippi State University under the strictest scientific conditions and proven to be preferred 30 percent over the other leading brand.  It is available in six different styles including Mighty Bug, Wooly Bullee, Salleemander, Money Craw, Dinger, and Shakalicious Worm.  Look for YUM F2 to shake up the soft plastic market.  YUM F2 will also be available in 8-oz. spray bottle in Shad Scent, Crawfish Scent, Garlic Scent, and Shrimp Scent. 

Xcs Series- XCalibur Lures is coming out with the new XCalibur Xcs100, Xcs200, and Xcs300 square lip series.  These shallow running Square Lip series wobbles, rolls, and flashes when retrieved.  They come in three sizes and are built to bump and run through and over cover.  The Alton Jones model Xcs100 measures 2-inches and weighs ½-ounce. The Tim Horton Xcs200 is 2 ¾-inches long and weighs 5/8- ounce.  The Edwin Evers Xcs300 is 3-inches in length and weighs ¾-ounce. These lures come in signature colors. Jones model comes in Foxy Lady and Smallmouth Green. Horton model will come in Foxy Phantom and Bruiser, and Edwin Evers model Black Shad and Orange Craw.

Xr50 Real Craw- XCalibur Lures is coming out with an ultra-realistic, exoskeleton that looks and feels like a fleeing crawfish.  The lure features raised blood-red crustacean eye near the tail of the bait.  It will be available in 2 1/2-inches and weigh 5/8-ounce.

Xr50 Real Gill- XCalibur Lures will also have the new Real Gill Xr50 Rattle Bait at ICAST.  Real Gill has one of the most realistic bluegill and panfish patterns available on any hard plastic lure.

Tracdown Minnow- The Classic Rebel Lures F49, F40, and F10 are coming out in the sinking Tracdown version.  These baits will slow sink attracting bass, trout, walleye, and other game fish.

 Wally Stinger- Cotton Cordell has another new lure in their walleye line up.  The Wally Stinger has the characteristics of the classic Wally Diver but is stretched out to give it a bigger and longer profile.  The Wally Stinger comes in 3 ½-inches or 4 ¾-inches.  Walleye anglers are sure to love them.

Herky Jerky JR.- Bomber has down sized their Herky Jerky.  The smaller Herky Jerky JR was designed for giant stripers or toothy pike.  It will walk-the-dog under the surface or slowly sink attracting suspending fish. The Herky Jerky JR. measures 5-inches and weighs 1 11/16-ounces.

Real Craw Model A- Bomber lures will show their new super realistic Real Craw Model A at ICAST.  The crankbait will dive 3 to 6-feet, measures 2 1/8-inches, and comes in seven color patterns.  It features an ultra realistic finish with raised blood red crustacean eye positioned at the tail of the lure.  This lure is sure to become a favorite of steam anglers everywhere.
