    Guntersville Fisherman’s Village

    Author: Brad Wiegmann |
Guntersville Fisherman's VillageTraveling to fish in premier fishing locations can often be a hassle for anglers towing a boat. While these fishing hot spots may have numerous places to stay quite often lack the ability to meet the needs of anglers. Parking, electricity, security, friendly atmosphere, and other amenities are not available or lacking; however that is not the situation at Guntersville Fisherman’s Village. They welcome anglers to come stay in one of their three cabins designed and built to accommodate all anglers. Guntersville Fisherman’s Village is located by Lake Guntersville in Alabama. Lake Guntersville is a renowned reservoir with big largemouth bass; in addition to having numerous bass tournaments held on it.

Guntersville Fisherman’s Village is unique in the fact that every cabin was designed and built exclusively to cater to anglers. “We found out what anglers wanted and include those amenities when building our cabins,” said owner Kevin Linn. “That’s right, they want a place to put their boats that is covered and lighted plus they need electricity to charge their batteries up,” added owner Connie Linn who together with her husband work at making everything perfect for anglers. All of the cabins have a patriot theme to them. The setting is different in each rustic caGuntersville Fisherman's Villagebin. The cabins are located in a wooded area with an adjacent beautiful manmade 40 acre lake.

Each of the cabins have a full kitchen, bedrooms, living room, satellite TV, new appliances, linens, towels, utensils,  and other amenities. The cabins are located only four miles from a public boat ramp and tackle shop/convenient store Waterfront Grocery.  Guntersville Fisherman’s Village (www.guntersvillefishermansvillage.com) unlike motels has plenty of space for anglers to park their boats this includes two covered stalls adjacent to each of the cabins. “We take pride in having plenty of room for parking and keep it clean. We know that anglers like being close to the water and boat ramp so our location is perfect; in addition to being mid-lake so anglers can fish both ends Guntersville Fisherman's Villageof the lake without traveling too far,” said Kevin. “I like the fact they are clean enough for someone to run around barefoot inside the cabins,” added Connie.

Although the cabins were designed for anglers, Guntersville Fisherman’s Village often accommodates church groups or corporate parties for lodging. Nightly rates are $120 for double occupancy with an additional $10 for every person after that. Each cabin can hold up to eight people comfortably.  For right now there are three cabins available with three other proposed cabins to be built in the future.
