Living in "High School Days" Featuring Darren Evans

    Darren Evans

Hi my names Darren Evans and I am living in "High School Days". I reside in Southwest Missouri.  I am truly living in the life of a fisherman. I am a senior at Willard High School, knowing that I am graduating in two months I am working towards a fishing career. Whether I fish local or national; I know this is God's gift to me. I have been fishing with my father ever since I can remember. When the time comes to fish I am there. I got started in a local bass club when in turned 16 and now starting my third year. Fishing is my life. It has to be. I know God gives everyone a gift and I recognize he gave me mine at a young age. Life as I know it is attending High School, attending a local technical college in the afternoons, and fishing when I can. I am hoping to attend Missouri State University after two years at the technical school where I can hopefully fish for Missouri State University. When it comes to fishing, I have become a walking billboard with the help of my sponsors and helping others out in my club. At my high school, I am the only student that has sponsors and fishes all the time. I am kind of an outsider at my high school when it comes to that. I just keep dealing with it because I can go to Bass Pro Shop or a local tackle shop and fit in with anyone and everyone there. It's nice to have some friends. I have been put in charge of getting together a fishing club at my high school. I am hoping for a good turnout as we will have our first meeting later in the month. If anyone has any ideas for the meeting please contact me.  If you would like to speak to me personally e-mail at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it . Don’t be afraid to mail me. I'll return your message asap. Thanks for your time and see you on the water.

Editors Note: Although Darren Evans is still a senior in high school, he is attending technical school in the afternoons and earning college credit hours.  I am looking forward to watching Darren progress from high school though college while being part of a collegiate angler.
