    Author: Brad Wiegmann |

Lance Valentine’s Walleye 101 Seminar Series DVD setIt’s cold and snowy outside. The last thing you have on your mind is fishing; Fishing seminars and fishing universities offer some reprieve from this cabin fever caused by the cold weather outside. Anglers can go to these seminars put on by professional anglers and learn all the secrets to catching big fish, but what if you can’t attend or it’s too far away to drive to? You’re in luck. Lance Valentine’s Walleye101 Seminar Series DVD is just like being at the seminar without traveling to it.

The Lance Valentine’s Walleye101 Seminar Series DVD set (www.walleyekid.com) has six DVDs covering everything you need to know about catching walleyes. Each DVD in the set covers a specific topic and technique used when fishing for walleyes. It’s like attending six seminars without going. The DVDs were filmed in a classroom setting with anglers actively participating with questions for Valentine.
    DVD #1
    “The Lure is Last”
This maybe the most important and informative of all the DVDs that comes in the set Walleye101 Seminar Series. Valentine begins with explaining how asking the right questions can result in a successful day out fishing.
    Ask the Right Questions
    •    What part of the lake?
    •    How deep of water?
    •    How deep are the fish?
    •    What size are the fish?
    •    What is the best presentation?
    DVD #2
    Walleye in Rivers
Valentine covers everything you need to know about fishing rivers for walleyes. Topics on this DVD includes barrier areas, holding areas, passing areas, boat rigging, boat control, rods, reels, and lures.
    DVD #3
    Sonar: The Basics and Beyond
It does matter which brand of sonar units you have on your boat this DVD will help you catch fish. This will be the DVD you watch over and over finding new information on sonar and sonar units.
    DVD #4
    Walleyes in the Weeds
You guessed it, Valentine breaks down how to fish for walleyes in the weeds and catch them. Valentine even explains what types of weeds are best to fish for walleyes and how to present lures or live bait in weeds.
    DVD #5
    Open Water Trolling
While fishing for walleyes in weeds can catch some the majority of big walleyes are caught in open water situations. Fishing for walleyes in big open water can be challenging and intimidating. Valentine explains how anglers can approach catching walleyes in open water and doing it safely. As always Valentine says if you want to catch walleyes an angler should spend more time fishing properly where there are catchable fish.
    DVD # 6
    Spinner Secrets
Using spinners to catch walleye is probably one of the most popular ways of catching them, but if not done correctly will not result in an angler having a successful day out fishing. Valentine brings in two renown experts on spinner fishing to help explain how and where to catch walleyes on spinners. John Gillman and Steve Bohn share their intimate knowledge of spinners and answer questions from the audience on fishing with spinners.

By the time anglers have watched and watched their favorite DVD over and over again they will have the knowledge to go out and catch walleye successfully. The best part is you really can watch it over and over again because unlike a seminar you watch in person it’s on DVD. Shop for fishing DVDs
