Kayak Kevin's Chesapeake Bay Tour DVD

There is no comparing long distance touring in a kayak to anything else you will ever do in your life. The physical demands, mental fortitude, incumbent weather including deadly lightning and hail storms, biting insects, jelly fish swarms, gear obliterating conditions, and other challenges you face every day; however, the reward of exploring new beaches, watching wildlife, and discovering something new every day cannot be measured.

As Whitley tours Chesapeake Bay, he is joined by Shante Fosket who takes to searching the beach heads for ancient fossils, Indian arrowheads, and sharks teeth along with building sand beach turtles. Together, they paddle down the shoreline stopping only for supplies in kayak friendly marinas and camping overnight on the beaches.
In the DVD Kayak Kevin’s Chesapeake Bay Tour (www.KayakKevin.com) kayak anglers will find the schooling striper scenes unreal. Really, truly unreal schooling action that only happens when you are in your kayak fishing. Whitley and Fosket also fish for small perch, reds, sea trout, and other fish that swim in the nutrient rich water of Chesapeake Bay.
The DVD takes an educational approach to how to tour a body of water in a kayak. Whitley explains how to set up a kayak for touring, training for the tour, what he takes on tour, how he packs his kayak, emergency situations that occur on tour and how to deal with them; in addition to the essential of being able to read maps, currents, and weather. Also included in the DVD is a list of kayak friendly marinas and great riffs by Crab Nebula.
Anyone who has ever paddled a kayak will find Kayak Kevin’s Chesapeake Bay Tour a wonderful adventure that is educational at the same time. Whitley’s insight and wit becomes evident quickly as stormy weather, current, and strong head winds challenge him every day while out on tour. Lucky for us, Whitley films it all. The positives and negatives of touring, his adventures while paddling around Chesapeake Bay.
