Rock the Rock-Table Rock by Picking Up

    Author: Brad Wiegmann |

Volunteers will be picking up trash and cleaning the shoreline during the PAA Tournament on Table Rock LakeIt’s time to Rock; the Rock.  It’s your time to show the rest of the U.S.A. just how much you care about the environment.  On October 16, 2010, everyone is invited to come join Recycled Fish as they teams up with the Professional Anglers Association to clean up the shoreline, boat ramps, parking lots, and park areas on Table Rock Lake.

It's time for you to Rock; the Rock.

Of course to make it interesting, volunteers will come back to the PAA tournament weigh-in stage with the trash they picked up to weigh it and deposit it in a dumpster.  Every volunteer will be recognized and a reward for the individual and group who removes the most trash.  I recommend if you want to win bring a wheelbarrow and fill it full of whatever trash you can find.  Individual can come by themselves, bring their families, church group, or come with a local community organization.  The point is to come out and make a difference.  We are all stewards of our environment; it’s up to us to keep our waterways clean.

Recycled Fish (www.recycledfish.org) Ambassadors will also be onsite inviting people to take the Sportsman’s
Stewardship Pledge and offering information on how to fight other risks to our waters such as invasive species and chemical pollution.  Okay, you have spent every weekend on the Rock, wakeboarding, skiing, tubing, or just driving the boat around and the shoreline show it.  Litter lines the shoreline and trash can be seen everywhere.  The Rock needs your help.  If you don’t do it; who will?
