Pennington’s first year has had its good days and days he plans on learning from.

    Author: Brad Wiegmann

Casey Martin The back deck is a great place for an angler to learn how to fish tournaments. It’s the stepping stone to moving up to turning pro. It’s been done before successfully, but never documented like the transition FLW pro Casey Martin from New Market, Alabama is going through.

Circuit Breaker, a web-based reality series show chronicles Martin as he competes on the professional level of bass fishing. Complete Circuit Breaker videos can be seen on YouTube or by typing in Casey Martin Circuit Breaker in the YouTube search box.

For Dion Hibdon it’s a Ohana Tradition

    Author: Brad Wiegmann

    FLW_Tour Pro Dion Hibdon

Ohana means family. Family means nobody gets left behind or forgotten. It doesn’t matter if you were born and raised in Hawaii or in the Ozark mountains in Missouri. Ohana emphasizes that families are bound together and work together for the family to prosper. For Dion Hibdon fishing is a Ohana tradition that was passed on to him by his father and now Dion is passing it on to his boys.

Chris Lane Sets Sights on 2014 Bassmaster Classic

    Author: Brad Wiegmann

Chris LaneIn 2012, Chris Lane’s life changed forever. He won the 2012 Bassmaster Classic Championship on the Red River in Shreveport-Bossier City, Louisiana. Lane also moved from his Florida residence to Guntersville, Alabama, by Lake Guntersville a renowned bass lake.

The move to Guntersville was based on two things. First, Lane wanted to raise his children in a town like Guntersville. Guntersville if you have never been there has a “Mayberry-Andy Griffin” appeal.

Crime is almost none existent and everyone knows everyone it seems. It’s a great place to raise a family.

There’s No Boarder in Fishing Featuring FLW Pro Jeff Gustafson

    Author: Brad Wiegmann

FLW Tour Beaver Lake Jeff GustafsonFish don’t know what brand of boat your drive. They can’t even tell if you talk with a funny northern accent. For all they know you could be from Canada and they would be right assuming you are FLW professional angler Jeff Gustafson from Kenora, Ontario.

Gustafson’s boat sticks out from other FLW professional anglers fishing the Tour events. Unlike the other boats that consist of traditional fiberglass bass boat, Gustafson’s “bass” boat is a v-hull Lund.

So, his boat isn’t the conventional bass boat. Fish don’t care. Even Gustafson doesn’t care.

Big Show Terry Scroggins in Classic Form

    Author: Brad Wiegmann

Terry Big Show ScrogginsProfessional tournament angler Terry Scroggins is affectionately known as ‘Big Show’. I think it comes from his lifestyle and the way he lives his life to the fullest. His positive attitude is captivating and one day before the 2013 Bassmaster Classic Championship was oozing unmistakably outward as he prepared for it.

Media day often results in anglers hiding lures or dodging questions from outdoor writer. This media day was different. A number of the anglers were openly rigging rods, tying on lures and honestly answers question.

Letting go of something special is never easy. It gets harder ever year I get older. This is especially true when you have had it for a long time. Nevertheless, I knew this day would happen. I just wish it would have taken longer to happen.

    Author: I.M. Bradley

Bassmaster Elite Pro Edwin EversHow would you like to win more bass tournaments? If you answered “no,” then continue to fish the same lures and techniques you always do. Keep a closed mind. Never try anything new. By God, you caught a bass on a jig-and-pork in 1978, and that’s just the way it is! If you answered “yes,” however, keep reading because the secret of catching tournament winning stringers is going to be revealed.
