FLW Outdoors Expo Beaver Lake 2013
The FLW Outdoors Expo will be held at the John Q. Hammons Center from noon to 4 pm before the final weigh-ins on Saturday and Sunday. Spectators at the Expo can ride a Ranger boat simulator, talk with and get autographs from professional anglers, play interactive games and get free products from FLW sponsors. My history with Legend Boats doesn’t begin with owning one, but with fishing with one of the owners Randy Qualls in a FLW Everstart Tournament. Although it’s been a few years ago, I remember distinctly his vision for Legend Boats. Qualls revelation of building the highest quality bass boats available could be seen in his eyes. The humble beginning of Legend Boats started in Benton, La., when the first one was built in 2002. Since then a number of changes have transpired. The rockstars of professional fishing are coming to northwest Arkansas. There will be more wrapped boats and laminated shirts than Wal-Mart employees at the FLW Outdoors Expo on April 13th and 14th. The Who’s Who’s includes Chris Lane, Mark Rose, Darrel Robertson, Scott Martin and local favorites Greg Bohannan and Travis Fox.

Anticipation is running high as anglers across Northwest Arkansas prepare for the bevy of FLW anglers about to descend to fish the FLW Tour event on Beaver Lake. Thousands of spectators will go to the weigh-ins and FLW Outdoor Expo, but before they do hundreds of them will attend Meet the Pros presented by First Baptist Church Bentonville on April 8th, 2013 at the John Q Hammons Center. Meet the Pros features FLW pros Greg Bohannan, Darrel Robertson and Mark Rose with Scott Martin 2011 Forrest Wood Cup Champion as the keynote speaker.
Professional tournament angler Terry Scroggins is affectionately known as ‘Big Show’. I think it comes from his lifestyle and the way he lives his life to the fullest. His positive attitude is captivating and one day before the 2013 Bassmaster Classic Championship was oozing unmistakably outward as he prepared for it.
Cliff Pace has done something that is rarely seen in sports today. Pace won the 2013 Bassmaster Classic Championship with honor. No narcissist signs of yelling or screaming about being number one, but humble and confident competitor showing the etiquette of a Bushido warrior.
