Frabill FXE Snosuit Task Glove Dry, Warm and Durable

    Author: Brad Wiegmann

Frabill Snosuit Task GlovesThe old saying is cold hand, warm heart. Not in my boat because cold hands are a thing of the past. I have a new pair of gloves from Frabill, the new Frabill FXE Snosuit Task Glove. It was designed to complement the Frabill FXE Snosuit bibs and parka. Of course the Frabill FXE (Frabill Extreme Elements) Snosuit bibs, parka, and Task glove was designed for ice fishing, but anglers anywhere can appreciate staying warm anytime it’s cold out.

    Author: Brad Wiegmann

Frabill FXE Stormsuit Stormsuit Jacket and Bib

I don’t know why there is no sun up in the sky; Frabill FXE weather.
Since, I got my new rain suit it seems like it’s raining all the time; Frabill FXE weather.
Keeps raining all the time; Frabill FXE weather.
Since, I got my new rain suit it only been stormy all the time; Frabill FXE weather.
Keeps raining all the time; Frabill FXE weather.

I know its spring, but this is downright ridiculous. A couple more days and I had better start building an ark. Every day it has been raining; so every day, I put on my Frabill FXE Stormsuit Jacket and Frabill FXE Stormsuit Bib to stay dry and warm.

    Chest Deep in Fish

    Author: Brad Wiegmann

Hodgman Breathable Stockingfoot WadersI must admit it. I love fishing streams and rivers in my waders. Of course having a boat would be nice at times, but then I would have to give up my freedom of moving up and down the river bank. Waders also will get me in places that boats cannot go or have to be dragged to get to. I only have to carry my pole and a small tackle box. It’s also easier to approach the fish in a stealth mode, unlike a boat with a motor running or paddles thrashing the water announcing to every fish in the river you are there. No doubt about it, wade fishing is the ultimate way to get chest deep in fishing.

Snosuit Gauntlet Gloves: Even Southern Anglers Need Gloves

    Author: Brad Wiegmann

Snosuit Gauntlet Gloves perfect for fishing. It was your typical morning out bass fishing south of the Mason-Dixon Line.  Chilly, 30-degrees when I awoke; although, the weather man promised that it would be in the fifties by late afternoon.  Unfortunately, my first stop was a twenty minute drive away from the ramp down the lake.  I personally was not looking forward to it.  Like other bass anglers, I had found out a long time ago that wearing a motorcycle helmet kept my head warm and freezing, cold wind off my face.  If you have ever traveled south fishing in the winter, you may have experience freezing fog.  Of course, this morning turned out to be one of those days with icy temperatures and freezing fog.  No pair of jersey or inexpensive gloves will stay dry or keep your hands from freezing. A southern bass angler needs gloves that are flexible, yet keep their hands warm.  Thankfully, today and till late spring I will be wearing the Snosuit Gauntlet Gloves; the new high technologically advanced glove, loaded with features that make driving down the lake at 60-plus mph possible without having to warm my hands up before I can begin to cast.  Move over, jersey and inexpensive gloves, there is a new glove in town.

Walk On with Shimano Evair Fishing Shoes

    Author: Brad Wiegmann
    Shimano Evair
One step followed by another. Gently every step treads lightly on the early morning dew drenched grass. It’s early and only the frogs crocking in the distance can be heard. Winter’s cold months are long behind and a warm southern breeze can be felt. It’s the best time of the year for fishing. Bass are shallow, up spawning in small pockets and coves everywhere on the lake. Its mornings like this you savor after working so hard during the week. Pausing a moment before taking off on plane to your favorite honey hole you kick back and prop up your feet. It’s really satisfying. Everything feels so good, so good; even your feet in the Shimano Evair fishing shoes.

    One Hat Ain’t Enough

    Author: Brad Wiegmann

    HatTails Brewskey Hat

Oh yeah! One hat ain’t enough for me. I lose more hats in one day than any other angler can in a year. It’s a losing battle, but I have found a solution to it. I found a hat that has a tether that connects to my shirt. What a great idea. No more losing my head…I mean hat while I’m flying down the lake in my bass boat.

These Boots Were Made For Wading

    Author: Brad Wiegmann

Hodgman WADETECH Wading BootsFew angling adventures can match the excitement of wading Blue Ribbon Smallmouth streams. These streams have an abundance of trophy smallmouth that is eager to bite. There is no better way to catch them than walking the stream side and wading in pools casting lures. Another wading adventure that should not be overlooked is fly fishing the world renowned White River below Bull Shoals Dam. Monster German Brown trout can be caught there year round, but often it takes getting in the water to catch them. No matter if you are fishing the cold, clear tailwater of the White River or warm water smallmouth streams like Crooked Creek wading is the best way to catch them.
